MSW Engineers: A Charlotte Building Systems Engineering Firm
MSW Engineers is the website name for MSWG Engineers, short for McKnight Smith Ward Griffin Engineers, a full-service engineering firm established in 1967. The firm designs building systems in four disciplines: mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, electrical and fire protection, with a focus on conserving resources by weighing initial cost, energy use, maintenance and replacement.
Rebranding Scope: Logo, Business Cards and WordPress Website
A signed 2022 proposal set the scope: a new logo, a business card design and a new mobile-friendly website built in WordPress with a maximum of four pages. The brief asked for a simple, modern site that reflects the strength and unique differentiators the firm brings to its market. Professional project photography and printing were offered as additional services.
New MSWG Logo Replaces the Serif Wordmark
The previous logo combined a green and red emblem with a serif wordmark spelling out McKnight, Smith, Ward, Griffin Engineers, Incorporated. The new logo pairs a green and charcoal mark with a lowercase wordmark, mswg engineers. The shorter name works on letterhead, on the business cards, which list HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection, and in the website header.
Website Redesign for MSW Engineers in Charlotte
The redesigned homepage opens with the headline Efficient and the line Engineering Services Since 1967, above four service tiles: electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire protection engineering.
